![]() ![]() We’re back to a familiar statement from me during a Book Club post and discussion: I am not really a fantasy reader outside of a few specific exceptions, be it titles (“The Lord of the Rings” “The Neverending Story”) or sub-genres (dark fantasy). Each page turn reveals impossible truths about the world and January discovers a story increasingly entwined with her own. A book that carries the scent of other worlds, and tells a tale of secret doors, of love, adventure and danger. Locke, she feels little different from the artifacts that decorate the halls: carefully maintained, largely ignored, and utterly out of place.
